Dr. Solomon Kibret is the Head of Global Coalition for Lake Tana Restoration (GCLTR), a non-profit initiative registered in US. He recently traveled to Ethiopia to assess the extent of water hyacinth coverage across Lake Tana and its economic, social and ecosystem impacts in the area. He also recommends effective controlling measures and environmental management activities that need to be done to save the lake from its challenges.
